3rd Installment of Ethos83RADIO

Shorter than the others... This music que is chalk full of bands and artists that are some of the absolute best available. It begins with four tracks from Greg Laswell, who recently performed live at Portland's Doug Fir Lounge. Supported by hipster princess Jesca Hoop, this show at the DF was completely special.

Normally surrounded by a band that this time was stuck over a mountain pass... Greg Laswell was forced to deliver his music with only his friend Brandon to aid. An acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, and a keyboard were all the two needed to fill the underground venue with sweet, sultry, and heavy sounds. The crowd appeased the two performers with great listening skills and the intent goer was able to sink into the music with minimal conversation distraction. A quieted version of Laswell's "Comes & Goes" along with his trademark sorrowful version of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", were the crowing achievements of the night and his colorful story telling skills let the listener in on his crazy yet simple life. A fantastic musician and song writer... Greg spared no amount of heart in sharing his music.

After sampling songs from Greg Laswell and Jesca Hoop, continue on in the playlist to hear gems from power pop rockers Ra Ra Riot... electro indie pop from Hot Chip... and indie rock anthems from giant Guster.
